Historic and technical information

Denomination :     76.2mm M1900 | Origin :       ( Putilov)           | ||||
Historic context :
In 1900, one of the two Russian guns manufacturers delivered the '76.2 mm fieldgun M1900'. This was the first Russian gun to be equipped with a recoil recuperation system, but this one was rather special : the barrel was linked to a sliding beam that could move on the tail. An hydraulic brake strengthened by rubber rings (Engelhardt process) was placed inside the tail. |
