That gun is one of the last survivors of that legendary gun.

On the comemorative plate, the writings explain that the scheme of the Prussin Guard Artillery Regiment is engraved on the tube. That gun was captured near La Vacquerie (Somme) on the Septembre 29th, 1916 by the New Zealand Division, during an attack against the Hindenburg line.
