Front view. Notice the torpedo-like profile of the recuperator head, typical of the new models equipped with the better hydro-pneumatic system.

View on a slightly different angle. It is a Mk II version gun.

This gun was used on the Western Front between September 1916 and November 1917, then was sent back to England for tube repairing after having shot more than 16000 rounds. It returned to the Western Front in March 1918, and participated to the battles until November 1918.

Notice the tubular trail that was restricting the elevation range to a poor 16 degrees.
