Feste Kaiser Wilhelm II.

A whole battery of 4 10cm KiSL guns is visible in that German fortress transformed into a museum (battery n°1), amognst other materials.

In 1914, that fortress shot some shells on the French troops coming from the Vosges mountains towards Strasbourg, then remained silent until 1918. In 1945, the same fortress was much heavilier engaged in violent fights against US armies.

Breech view. These guns are so well preserved that they still fire for tourists at special occasions !
